An insight brief, One size doesn’t fit all: Equality ofopportunity for Disabled students, published in October by the Office forStudents shows that despite some progress, Disabled students continue toexperience significant disadvantage within higher education.
The report highlights inconsistencies in how reasonableadjustments are identified and implemented with many students encounteringdelays, unclear processes and support that depends too heavily on individualstaff rather than institutional commitment.
The report draws on survey data, student insight and sectorworkshops with over 100 university and college representatives.
