Global Human Rights
We often focus on disability and human rights within our own country. The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) represents the most advanced international human rights instrument on the rights of persons with disabilities in terms of the scope and depth.
It's really interesting to compare and contrast what other countries are doing well and where there is need for improvement for the rights of people with disabilities.
Whatever country you are in, what are some things your country is doing well to support you with your disability and where are there some barriers to entry for you in your personal life? Employment? In society?
The International Day of Disabled Persons aims to remote the rights and well-being's of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society. Here's a great video the United Nations put together on Innovating for an accessible and equitable world.
