What a great quote to open this post with! It really hit me hard- is Safia's comment on needing to go inside to care for her mental health/not being overwhelmed and trying not to stim in public, and she received messages from parents that say "I brought my daughter was there for you and you didn't say hi." Ugh, what a gut punch! I appreciate the work she did to make this interview happen and hopefully we can all better reestablish our expectations of people.
