Sensory issues can be a common challenge for individuals with autism. Sound, texture or a smell that may seem normal to others may be challenging for individuals with different sensory needs.
For example, the sound of a vacuum cleaner or a loud motorcycle may be overwhelming or feeling certain clothing textures, like scratch your type fabric, which may cause discomfort or distress.
