2026 Milan Cortina Paralympics: Team USA Storylines

A friend and I discussed this last week. She is beginning preparations to try to qualify for para hockey with the Norwegian team.

The 2026 Winter Paralympics in Milan and Cortina are just a year away! I was reading an article on NBC Sports titled "2026 Milan Cortina Paralympics: Team USA storylines one year out from Winter Games, it got me super pumped for our athletes.

Remembering how awesome we did in the last Winter Games (remember those amazing moments?) and getting us ready for what's coming.

Here's the scoop:

  • Skiing Downhill (Para-Alpine Skiing): Our skiers are training hard to zip down those snowy mountains. We're hoping for some serious speed and medals!
  • Ice Hockey (Para Hockey): Get ready for some tough and exciting hockey! Team USA is always a powerhouse, and we're expecting big things.
  • Skiing and Shooting (Para Biathlon/Cross-Country Skiing): Talk about multitasking! These athletes ski and shoot, which is super cool. We're looking forward to seeing how they do.
  • Snowboarding (Para Snowboarding): Expect some awesome tricks and fast runs on the snowboard courses.
  • Curling in Wheelchairs (Wheelchair Curling) is like regular curling, but everyone is in a wheelchair. It requires skill and teamwork, and it's fun to watch.

What sport are you most excited to watch? Let me know in the comments!
