Idea for Deaf Accessibility Feature at Fitness
In many fitness centers, I’ve noticed that while workout monitors sometimes display subtitles, they don’t work perfectly for Deaf people like myself. Subtitles aren’t always the best option because written language isn’t the primary language for many Deaf people. From my personal experience, it would be much more effective if these monitors also featured sign language instructions on the screen. Having workout instructions in sign language would make it easier for the Deaf community to follow along, stay engaged, and gain motivation to keep working out effectively. This would help create a more inclusive and empowering fitness environment for everyone. What are your thoughts about it? Free feel to drop your opinion!

Katrina, really interesting and helpful. Have you seen any other screens in different settings with sign language instructions before? I would love to see some examples where you saw this?
