Paris 2024: Introduction to Wheelchair Rugby
Finally, a sport where we won't get in trouble for running into things on purpose, The Paris 2024 Paralympics, running from August 28 to September 8, will feature eight wheelchair rugby teams. This full-contact sport, invented in 1977, became a Paralympic medal event in 2000. Teams score by crossing the try line with the ball. Key nations include the USA, Australia, and Great Britain, the latter being the defending champions. Matches will be held at the Champ De Mars Arena. For more details, visit Paralympic.org.
