What technology are we using to help us when travelling?

What are the technologies that are helping us travel independently or accompanied? I'd love to know what we use and how we use it.

    I use citymapper to get around London mainly- I am not keen on the map directions on it. But I do like the fact it tells me which exit to take out of stations, how long wait until the next Train or Bus and which carriages on tubes and trains are quieter.
