Disabled workers in the skill gap
Disabled workers in the skill gap
Workers with disabilities can help out with the skills gap in different industries. We know this. As someone who has been navigating these programs recently, I find it always good to see them highlighted. Having a benefit counselor is essential.. There are programs like Ticket to Work (TTW) that support Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) beneficiaries in making a gradual return to work without losing their benefits. It's a big deal to employ people with disabilities because it fills skill shortages and makes companies better. TTW has been excellently increasing employment rates by doing away with myths and providing support. Social Work Today and Brandiary also have some incredible stories about including workers with disabilities as a win-win situation. Read more here.
